We can control the player and explore the Italian cites, landmarks, regions using this open world game play. Open world game play allows player to roam freely with anywhere in the accessible regions such as Venice, Florence, Forli, San Gimignano and Tuscan. It also has an advanced Animus system which provides a strong database about historical information, character, services, key landmarks etc. Health system is less synchronised by the animus 2. Animus 2 only takes care of very small injuries. For heavy injuries, player needs a doctor in street side or medicine. Medicine can also purchase from the doctors or retrieve from the bodies.
In previous version of assassin’s creed the player cannot swim in water and can’t use the eagle vision while moving also. Assassin’s creed II rectifies these two major problems and player can swim in water and also he can use eagle vision to find the targets or key locations while moving. It also includes the new weapons and feature like hiring different groups (mercenaries, courtesans or thieves), disarming the opponent etc. We can hire different groups and use these groups to distract the guards, to fight etc.

Weapons and combat system in assassin’s creed is more complex one as compared to the previous one. We can disarm the opponent is an interesting feature of this. It also includes weapons like dual hidden blades, poisoned blade, swords, cutlasses, axes, daggers, brooms etc. It also includes the new armour and can customize the dressing, color etc. By using larger pouches we can also carry more medicines and throwing knives.
